DIY happy morning diffuser blend

Let’s be honest- most of us aren’t morning people. I can tell you from my years of experience as a mother that my children certainly weren’t.

I only wish I’d started using this DIY Happy Morning diffuser blend sooner. Its light and effervescent aroma provides an instant perk without the eventual drag of inhaling your morning coffee (not to say coffee isn’t wonderful).

To get a clean, fresh start to your morning, add the following blend to your favorite essential oil diffuser:

  • 1 drop peppermint oil
  • 1 drop wild orange essential oil
  • 1 drop lime oil

From the very first, you’ll notice that this pure, uplifting aroma smells amazing and gives a great boost of energy. However, the combination of these three amazing oils have more uses than simply jump-starting your day.

I’ve mentioned before that peppermint essential oil is a great energy-booster. Peppermint oil also supports a healthy body in the following ways:

  • Freshens breath
  • Alleviates occasional stomach upset
  • Improves mental focus
  • Promotes clear breathing
  • Boosts energy

Orange essential oil is known to many as a mood lifter, but it’s such a diverse component to this recipe for a number of other reasons. It’s sweet, refreshing and:

  • Powerful cleanser and purifying agent
  • Protects against seasonal and environmental threats
  • High in antioxidants
  • Uplifting to the mind and body

Lime essential oil boosts the beneficial properties of both the peppermint and orange in this recipe. It has similar properties to those found in orange essential oil. Lime oil is also an important ingredient for the following applications:

  • Supports healthy immune function
  • Positively affects mood with stimulating and refreshing properties
  • Used as an aromatic, topical, and internal cleanser
  • Promotes emotional balance and well-being

(A quick note regarding the use of citrus oils- they have been known, in rare cases, to cause photo sensitivity, so do be careful with strong and direct sun exposure after application.)
